FUBP1 Inhibitor
FUBP1-IN-2 is a potent inhibitor of far upstream binding protein 1 (FUBP1), effective in disrupting the KH4 FUBP1-FUSE interaction as demonstrated in gel shift assays. This compound binds to FUBP1, confirmed by chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays, leading to a reduction in c-Myc mRNA and protein levels, while concurrently increasing p21 mRNA and protein expression. Additionally, FUBP1-IN-2 is shown to deplete intracellular polyamine levels, making it a valuable tool for research in cancer and gene regulation.
