Furanodiene

Anti-cancer Agent

Furanodiene is a natural terpenoid derived from Rhizoma Curcumae, exhibiting potent anti-cancer activity. Its primary mechanisms include anti-angiogenic effects, induction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, DNA strand breaks, and promotion of apoptosis. Additionally, Furanodiene has been shown to suppress the function of the efflux transporter P-glycoprotein (Pgp) while reducing Pgp protein levels, contributing to its therapeutic potential in cancer research applications.
