G243-1720

Anti-Orthopoxvirus Agent

G243-1720 is a potent anti-Orthopoxvirus agent that targets the OPG57 (F13) protein, inducing its dimerization. This broad-spectrum inhibitor effectively blocks the replication of various poxviruses while exhibiting no effect on non-poxviruses. G243-1720 disrupts the formation of extracellular membrane virus particles, thus preventing viral spread between cells. In murine models, G243-1720 significantly reduces the viral load of monkeypox virus (MPXV) in lung tissue, highlighting its potential for therapeutic application in poxvirus infections.
