G6PD Inhibitor
G6PD-IN-2 is an inhibitor of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) in Plasmodium falciparum, demonstrating an IC50 value of 0.2 μM. It exhibits weaker inhibitory activity against PfGluPho, with an IC50 of 22.0 μM. G6PD-IN-2 effectively hinders the growth of the Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 strain and shows low cytotoxicity in hepatocytes. This compound is valuable for research focused on malaria and the pathways involving G6PD inhibition.
