Garlic oil

Anticancer Agent

Garlic oil primarily targets cancer cells through its diverse organosulfur compounds, demonstrating significant anticancer activity. It has been shown to effectively activate apoptosis in lung tissue induced by NNK, significantly reducing NNK-induced DNA damage. Additionally, garlic oil enhances the expression of phase II drug-metabolizing enzymes such as HO-1, NQO-1, and GSTA1, thereby contributing to the prevention of lung cancer. This makes it a valuable reagent for research focused on cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
