Gem-C12

Gemcitabine Prodrug

Gem-C12 is a prodrug of Gemcitabine, designed to inhibit nucleic acid synthesis by terminating DNA chain elongation, subsequently inducing apoptosis. This compound effectively suppresses the proliferation of glioma cells, making it a valuable tool in glioblastoma multiforme research. Additionally, Gem-C12 demonstrates synergistic anti-glioblastoma activity when used in combination with Honokiol, enhancing its therapeutic potential in targeted cancer treatments.
