Genistein 7-sulfate
Genistein metabolite
Genistein 7-sulfate is a metabolite of the isoflavonoid genistein, primarily functioning as a modulator of estrogen activity. It has been shown to reduce the activity of estrogen agonists in estrogen-sensitive MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Additionally, at concentrations of 10 μM and higher, Genistein 7-sulfate can promote cell growth, making it a valuable compound for research in hormone-related pathways and cancer biology.
