GFP11
Protein Fusion Tag
GFP11 is a protein fusion tag comprised of 16 amino acids that facilitates the presentation of proteins on the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria. This tag enables the labeling of proteins with green fluorescence through complementation with externally added GFP1-10, without significantly affecting protein solubility, expression, or enzymatic activity. Due to its small size, GFP11 is an advantageous tool for constructing split-GFP systems, making it suitable for biotechnological applications such as high-throughput screening and flow cytometry.
