GSDMD Inhibitor

GI-Y2 is a selective inhibitor of gasdermin D (GSDMD) that effectively suppresses pyroptosis in macrophages induced by oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL). In vivo studies demonstrate that GI-Y2 reduces atherosclerotic plaque formation in ApoE-/- mice in a dose-dependent manner, leading to decreased lesion size and fibrosis in the aortic root. This reagent is a valuable tool for investigating the role of pyroptosis in cardiovascular diseases, particularly atherosclerosis.
