Ginsenoside C-K hexapropionate ester

LXRα Agonist

Ginsenoside C-K hexapropionate ester is a selective agonist of LXRα, demonstrating minimal activation of LXRβ. This compound effectively upregulates the expression of downstream genes, such as ABCA1, thereby enhancing reverse cholesterol transport and alleviating lipid accumulation in macrophage-derived foam cells. It is primarily utilized in the study of atherosclerosis and its underlying mechanisms. Ginsenoside C-K hexapropionate ester is a synthetic derivative of ginsenoside Compound K, derived from Panax notoginseng saponins through modification with propionic anhydride.
