Girolline

Protein Synthesis Inhibitor

Girolline is a selective inhibitor of protein synthesis that functions as a modulator of eIF5A. By disrupting the interaction between eIF5A and ribosomes, Girolline induces ribosome stalling, leading to the inhibition of IL-6 and IL-8 production. This compound promotes cell cycle arrest in tumor cells, making it a valuable tool for research in inflammatory diseases, solid tumors, leukemia, and malaria.
