GK563
GVIA iPLA2 Inhibitor
GK563 is a selective inhibitor of the Ca2+-independent phospholipase A2 (GVIA iPLA2), exhibiting an IC50 value of 1 nM. This compound demonstrates a remarkable 22,000-fold higher activity against GVIA iPLA2 compared to GIVA cPLA2. GK563 has been shown to reduce β-cell apoptosis induced by proinflammatory cytokines, suggesting its potential application in the treatment of autoimmune diseases, including type 1 diabetes.
