GlcNAc-1-Phosphotransferase

GlcNAc-1-phosphotransferase

GlcNAc-1-Phosphotransferase is an α2β2γ2 hexamer primarily responsible for phosphorylating N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphate to mannose residues. Its catalytic activity is crucial for the proper function of lysosomal enzyme targeting, and mutations in this enzyme are associated with lysosomal storage disorders, including mucolipidosis. This reagent can be utilized in research investigating lysosomal function and enzyme replacement therapies.
