Glucoraphasatin potassium

Glucoraphasatin

Glucoraphasatin potassium is the potassium salt form of glucoraphasatin, a unique glucosinolate found in cruciferous vegetables, particularly Raphanus sativus. This compound demonstrates anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a valuable tool in cancer and inflammation research. Glucoraphasatin can modulate phase I metabolic enzyme activity and is converted by the enzyme myrosinase into isothiocyanates, which exhibit cytotoxic effects on cancer cells. It is primarily utilized in studies focusing on cancer, including colon cancer, and inflammation.
