Glucuronokinase (AtGlcAK)

Glucuronokinase

Glucuronokinase (AtGlcAK) is a GHMP-kinase that specifically targets D-glucuronic acid, exhibiting a Km value of 0.7 mM. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of D-glucuronic acid and ATP into D-glucuronic acid-1-phosphate and ADP. Glucuronokinase (AtGlcAK) plays a crucial role in carbohydrate metabolism and is valuable for research focused on plant biochemistry and metabolic pathways involving uronic acids.
