Glutamine synthetase

Glutamine synthetase is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of glutamate and ammonia into glutamine. This enzyme plays a crucial role in inhibiting angiogenesis, particularly in ocular and inflammatory skin disorders. Additionally, glutamine synthetase is involved in the palmitoylation of RHOJ, which subsequently inhibits endothelial cell migration. It is a valuable tool for research into various pathologies, including cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as cancer.
