Glutathione arsenoxide

Tumour Inhibitor

Glutathione arsenoxide (GSAO) is an investigational anticancer agent that functions primarily as a tumor metabolism inhibitor by targeting mitochondrial adenine nucleotide translocase (ANT). This compound induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells, thereby exhibiting significant antitumor activity. Additionally, GSAO serves as a tool for the identification of cell-surface proteins, including protein disulfide isomerase, contributing to its applications in cancer research and cellular biology studies.
