Glycolipid C34

Antinfection Agent

Glycolipid C34 is an analog of α-GalCer that specifically targets CD1d, functioning as an antinfection agent. It effectively activates invariant natural killer T cells, resulting in elevated secretion of cytokines such as IFN-γ and IL-4. Glycolipid C34 has demonstrated efficacy in promoting the clearance of bacterial infections in murine models and enhancing protective immunity against viral infections, making it valuable for research into bacterial and viral pathogens.
