GN-2 peptoid

Bactericidal Agent

GN-2 peptoid is a 9-mer cationic amphipathic peptoid that serves as a potent bactericidal agent, exhibiting an overall net charge of +4. This compound demonstrates broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative strains such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. GN-2 peptoid acts in a concentration-dependent manner and showcases low hemolytic and cytotoxic effects on human red blood cells and HeLa cells. Notably, it retains its antimicrobial efficacy in the presence of 50% human blood plasma, making it suitable for research on bacterial infections.
