ATX/NPP2 Inhibitor
GRI918013 is a selective and competitive inhibitor of autotaxin (ATX/NPP2), which plays a crucial role in tumor progression and metastasis. By binding to the active site of ATX, GRI918013 prevents the hydrolysis of lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) to lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), thereby inhibiting the ATX-LPA axis and reducing tumor cell invasion and metastasis. With an IC50 value of 31.42 nM and a Ki of 12.98 nM against ATX-mediated hydrolysis of the substrate FS-3, GRI918013 is valuable for research on cancer, particularly melanoma, and may also be beneficial for studies related to fibrotic diseases, neuropathic pain, and cholestatic pruritus.
