Guanoclor

Antihypertensive Agent

Guanoclor is an antihypertensive agent that functions as an adrenergic neurone-blocking compound. It inhibits the enzyme dopamine beta-hydroxylase, leading to reduced synthesis of noradrenaline. This mechanism contributes to its effectiveness in managing high blood pressure. Guanoclor is utilized in research applications focused on cardiovascular health and the modulation of autonomic nervous system activity.
