Gusperimus

Gusperimus is a synthetic racemate that targets intracellular heat shock protein hsp70, interfering with intracellular signal transduction. This mechanism enhances the efficacy of immunosuppressive therapies by inhibiting T cell differentiation into cytotoxic T cells, reducing IL-2 receptor expression on CD4 and CD8 T cells, and blocking IFN-γ-induced B cell maturation. Gusperimus demonstrates potential in transplant medicine, particularly when used in conjunction with agents such as cyclosporine, tacrolimus, or mycophenolate mofetil, to bolster immunosuppressive effects and mitigate allogeneic transplant rejection.
