H-Tyr-OMe

Amino Acid

H-Tyr-OMe, a derivative of the amino acid tyrosine, exhibits unique properties as a biological probe. It acts by quenching the fluorescence of carbon dots through the oxidation of its phenolic hydroxyl group to quinone, a reaction catalyzed by tyrosinase. Additionally, H-Tyr-OMe's ability to bind amino and thiol groups allows it to respond to variations in biothiol concentrations, making it useful in biochemical assays and studies related to redox biology and cellular signaling.
