hCA IX Inhibitor

hCAIX-IN-16 is a selective inhibitor of human carbonic anhydrase IX (hCA IX) with affinity values of 190.0 nM for hCA IX and 187.9 nM for hCA XII. This compound effectively arrests the cell cycle in breast cancer MDA-MB-468 cells at the G0-G1 and S phases, while also inducing apoptosis. Due to its broad-spectrum anticancer activity, hCAIX-IN-16 serves as a valuable tool for cancer research applications, particularly in studying the role of carbonic anhydrases in tumorigenesis and therapeutic responses.
