Hemicellulase
Glycoside Hydrolase
Hemicellulase is a glycoside hydrolase that targets hemicellulose, effectively hydrolyzing β-1,4-xylosidic bonds and ester linkages within plant cell walls. This enzyme facilitates the breakdown of hemicellulose, including xylan and mannan, through a synergistic action involving glycoside hydrolase and carbohydrate esterase families.
