Hepta-histidine

Ku70/HTT Inhibitor

Hepta-histidine functions as a selective inhibitor of the Ku70-Huntingtin protein interaction, playing a significant role in neuroprotection. This compound has been shown to reverse morphological abnormalities in primary neurons derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and extend lifespan in the severe Huntington’s disease R6/2 mouse model. Additionally, Hepta-histidine demonstrates the ability to ameliorate DNA damage in vitro, making it a valuable tool for investigating anti-aggregation effects in Tau-associated neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer's and Huntington's diseases.
