Heptadecan-9-amine
Biochemical Assay Reagent
Heptadecan-9-amine is a biochemical assay reagent featuring a hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker with a maleimide and TFP ester end group. The maleimide moiety selectively reacts with thiol groups within a pH range of 6.5 to 7.5, facilitating covalent bonding in biomolecular applications. The TFP ester is capable of reacting with primary amines while exhibiting greater resistance to hydrolysis compared to traditional NHS esters. The extended PEG chains enhance the solubility of the compound in aqueous environments, making it suitable for various biochemical assays and conjugation reactions.
