Heptamidine
S100B Inhibitor
Heptamidine is a potent inhibitor of the calcium-binding protein S100B, with a Kd of 6.9 µM. It selectively induces apoptosis in melanoma cells that express S100B, making it a valuable agent for studies focused on melanoma biology. Additionally, Heptamidine serves as a significant tool for investigating Myotonic dystrophy (DM).
