Histamine glutarimide
Anti-asthma Agent
Histamine glutarimide is an orally active anti-asthma agent that targets chemokine maturation. It effectively inhibits the release of key chemokines (CCL2, CCL7, CCL8, CCL13) and diminishes eosinophil migration and mast cell degranulation. In preclinical asthma models induced by carrageenan and rat ovalbumin, Histamine glutarimide has demonstrated the ability to reduce airway resistance and lower eosinophil counts in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, making it a valuable tool for asthma research.
