HSR-609
Antiallergic Agent
HSR-609 is an orally active amphoteric antiallergic agent that primarily targets the histamine H1 receptor. It demonstrates a high affinity for this receptor in the guinea pig cerebral cortex and effectively inhibits allergic airway hyperresponsiveness induced by acetylcholine. However, HSR-609 exhibits limited central nervous system penetration in both mice and guinea pigs, making it suitable for research focused on peripheral antiallergic mechanisms.
