Human protein C

Anticoagulant

Human Protein C is an anticoagulant that is activated by α-thrombin or the α-thrombin/thrombomodulin complex, resulting in the formation of activated protein C (APC), a serine protease. APC selectively inactivates coagulation factors Va and VIIIa, thereby playing a critical role in the regulation of the blood coagulation cascade. This reagent is essential for research applications focused on coagulation, thrombosis, and hemostasis.
