Humic acid

Humic Acid

Humic acid is a complex organic compound that primarily influences plant growth and soil health. It exhibits multiple reactive activities, including surface adsorption, ion exchange, and complexation, making it crucial for nutrient availability and soil structure. Additionally, humic acid enhances the degradation of pyrene by Mycobacterium NJS-1 and demonstrates the capability to inhibit superoxide dismutase activity while scavenging hydroxyl radicals. Its cytotoxic properties have been observed in CEM cells, highlighting its potential for research in environmental and cellular toxicity studies.
