Icosabutate

EPA Derivative

Icosabutate is an orally active derivative of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) that targets liver metabolism. It enhances insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic inflammation and fibrosis, addressing limitations associated with unmodified EPA. Icosabutate has demonstrated efficacy in lowering non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) levels in cases of persistent hypertriglyceridemia, making it a valuable tool for research in lipid metabolism and related metabolic disorders.
