Illudin B

DNA-targeting Cytotoxin

Illudin B is a DNA-targeting cytotoxin that disrupts DNA replication and transcription by forming interstrand crosslinks through covalent binding. This compound induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, demonstrating cytotoxic effects against various cancer cell lines, including leukemia, breast, and lung cancers. Its ability to interfere with fundamental cellular processes makes Illudin B a valuable tool in cancer research and the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
