IMB-808
LXRα/β Agonist
IMB-808 is a potent dual agonist of Liver X Receptors alpha and beta (LXRα and LXRβ), exhibiting EC50 values of 0.53 μM and 0.15 μM, respectively, when assessed using the GAL4-pGL4-luc reporter plasmid. This compound enhances the expression of genes associated with reverse cholesterol transport, including ABCA1 and ABCG1. IMB-808 is an important tool for investigating mechanisms underlying atherosclerosis and cholesterol metabolism.
