iMQT_020
SLC1A5_var Inhibitor
iMQT_020 is a selective allosteric inhibitor of SLC1A5_var, targeting its trimeric assembly to induce metabolic disruptions in cancer cells. This compound effectively reduces glutamine anaplerosis and oxidative phosphorylation, leading to significant alterations in cancer cell metabolism. iMQT_020 also lowers glutathione levels while increasing reactive oxygen species, promoting both apoptosis and ferroptosis. Additionally, it has the potential to epigenetically upregulate PD-L1 expression, making it a valuable tool for researching pancreatic, lung, and colon cancers.
