Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon
Indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon that primarily targets the aryl hydrocarbon receptor. It exhibits moderate cytotoxicity in human pulmonary alveolar epithelial cells (HPAEpiC) and has been shown to enhance allergic lung inflammation. This compound is useful for studying the mechanisms of lung pathology and environmental toxicology.
