Insect repellent M 3535

Insect repellent

Insect Repellent M 3535 (Ethyl butylacetylaminopropionate; IR-3535) functions primarily as an insect repellent. This compound exhibits notable anthelmintic properties and has demonstrated toxicity to zebrafish, with an LC50 value of 140 mg/L at 72 hours post-fertilization. Insect Repellent M 3535 is known to induce morphological abnormalities and cardiac defects during early embryonic development in zebrafish, likely through the production and accumulation of reactive oxygen species, thereby triggering oxidative stress responses and the endogenous apoptosis pathway. This compound is valuable for research involving toxicology and developmental biology.
