Iproplatin

Anti-cancer Agent

Iproplatin is an anti-cancer agent exhibiting decreased toxicity compared to traditional platinum-based drugs, particularly in the treatment of testicular and ovarian cancers. Its mechanism involves the formation of a reduced product through glutathione conjugation, specifically generating chloro-bis(isopropylamine)glutathionatoplatinum(II). Iproplatin shows potential for investigation in thrombocytopenia and various cancer types, making it a valuable reagent for research in oncology and related fields.
