JA-ACC

ACC Derivative

JA-ACC (Jasmonyl-ACC) is a derivative of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC), which serves as a direct precursor of the plant hormone ethylene. This compound effectively inhibits root growth in Arabidopsis, and this inhibition occurs independently of jasmonic acid (JA) signaling pathways. JA-ACC can be utilized in research applications exploring plant growth regulation and the interplay between ethylene and jasmonic acid signaling in various plant developmental processes.
