Jasplakinolide

Actin Polymerization Inducer

Jasplakinolide is a potent actin polymerization inducer that stabilizes pre-existing actin filaments by binding competitively to F-actin, with a Kd of 15 nM. Derived from marine sponges, this naturally occurring cyclic peptide exhibits both fungicidal and anti-cancer properties. Its primary applications include the study of cytoskeletal dynamics and the investigation of cellular processes related to actin regulation in various biological systems.
