JMI-346
PfFP-2 Inhibitor
JMI-346 is a selective inhibitor of the PfFP-2 (Plasmodium falciparum falcipain-2) protease. This compound effectively reduces the growth of both chloroquine-sensitive (3D7; IC50 = 13 µM) and chloroquine-resistant (RKL-9; IC50 = 33 µM) strains of P. falciparum. JMI-346 holds promise as a potential anti-malarial agent for further research and development in treating malaria.
