Kartogenin sodium

Chondroid Tissue Inducer

Kartogenin sodium is a chondroid tissue inducer that facilitates chondrogenic tissue formation with an EC50 of 100 nM. It operates by binding to fibrin A, disrupting its interaction with the transcription factor core binding factor beta subunit (CBFβ), and modulating the CBFβ-RUNX1 transcriptional program. This compound not only promotes cartilage repair but also enhances tendon-bone junction wound healing through increased collagen synthesis. Kartogenin sodium is utilized in research concerning cartilage regeneration, tendon-bone healing, and osteoarthritis, as well as in various applications in regenerative medicine and limb development.
