KL-50

Toxin

KL-50 is a selective toxin that targets tumors deficient in the DNA repair protein O6-methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase (MGMT), which is responsible for reversing the formation of O6-alkylguanine lesions. It activates DNA damage response pathways and induces cell cycle arrest in MGMT-lacking cells, functioning independently of mismatch repair (MMR) mechanisms. KL-50 is a valuable tool for research focused on brain tumors with deficient MGMT expression.
