KL1333 hydrochloride

NAD+ Modulator

KL1333 hydrochloride is an orally bioavailable NAD+ modulator that acts as a substrate for NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1), resulting in elevated intracellular NAD+ levels through the process of NADH oxidation. This enhancement of NAD+ promotes the activation of SIRT1 and AMPK, which in turn stimulates PGC-1α activity. KL1333 hydrochloride shows potential in improving energy metabolism and addressing mitochondrial dysfunction in conditions such as mitochondrial encephalomyopathy, lactic acidosis, and stroke-like episodes (MELAS). Additionally, it has demonstrated protective effects against cisplatin-induced ototoxicity in mouse cochlear cultures.
