L-Arginine hydrochloride

Nitrogen Donor

L-Arginine hydrochloride is a key nitrogen donor and substrate for endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), facilitating the generation of nitric oxide (NO). This compound is essential for vascular smooth muscle function, as it is transported via the cationic amino acid transporter family, where it is metabolized to NO and other bioactive molecules. L-Arginine shows significant vasodilatory effects and is widely utilized in research investigating cardiovascular function and experimental models of acute pancreatitis.
