L-Ascorbic acid-13C6 is a stable isotope-labeled form of L-Ascorbic acid, a natural electron donor and potent endogenous antioxidant. This compound selectively inhibits Cav3.2 channels with an IC50 of 6.5 μM and plays a critical role in enhancing collagen deposition while inhibiting elastogenesis. Additionally, L-Ascorbic acid demonstrates anti-cancer properties by generating reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to selective toxicity against cancer cells. It is widely utilized in research focused on oxidative stress, tissue repair, and cancer biology.
