L-Cysteine hydrochloride

Essential Amino Acid

L-Cysteine hydrochloride is a conditionally essential amino acid that serves as a key precursor for bioactive molecules, including hydrogen sulfide (H2S), glutathione, and taurine. This compound has been shown to suppress ghrelin levels and decrease appetite in rodent models. Additionally, L-Cysteine hydrochloride demonstrates inhibitory effects on Aspergillus flavus growth and aflatoxin B synthesis by disrupting cellular architecture and antioxidant balance. Furthermore, it enhances the relaxant responses of rat aortic rings to nitric oxide while dampening the responses to endothelium-derived relaxing factor (EDRF).
