L-Glucose

D-glucose Stereoisomer

L-Glucose is a stereoisomer of D-glucose that primarily targets glucose metabolism without readily crossing the blood-brain barrier. This compound has been shown to promote food intake and serves as a substrate for the development of fluorescence probes to visualize and characterize cancer cells. Additionally, L-Glucose is utilized in research investigating memory enhancement in murine models, making it a valuable tool for studies exploring metabolic processes and neurocognitive functions.
