Lanperisone
Muscle Relaxant
Lanperisone is a novel oral muscle relaxant that primarily targets neuromuscular transmission. It is known to induce non-apoptotic cell death through the inhibition of monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflex potentials. In addition to its muscle relaxant properties, Lanperisone is implicated in the dysregulation of iron metabolism and antioxidant systems, making it relevant for studying processes associated with ischemic stroke and potential anticancer activities.
